Adopt Suka the Stunning Husky

5/8/13 Update: Suka is now in foster care in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She will get daily runs with her new foster mom, and has a big apartment to stretch out in. So far, so good! Still looking for an adopter!

Suka lives in Brooklyn, and needs a new home. She has been loved and cared for since her rescue seven years ago. She loves to go on long walks or runs, and needs a home without small children. Smart, snuggly, and incredibly fluffy!

Handsome Harry Lucks Out

Little Maltese mix Harry was rescued from a puppy mill in the South and brought up to New York by Canis Vox Rescue. Kay saw something special in young guy Harry, and brought him to my Foster Dogs NYC adoption event on March 9th.

Surprisingly, Harry did not get adopted that day… and found himself out of a foster home just one week later. As fate would have it, good friends of mine in Connecticut told me of their desire for a new dog. They had lost their beloved little dog just a couple months ago, and they have felt like there is an empty space in their home. They wanted a dog, and Harry wanted a home — perfect! A match was made!

Elyse saw Harry’s photo and immediately applied to take him in! Within just a few days, she was picking Harry up in Chinatown from his rescuer and bringing him to his new home in the New Haven area.

I am beyond thrilled for Harry and for Elyse & Michael B., who have been dedicated supporters of animalrescue for years.

While Harry’s situation is currently more of a “foster-to-adopt” home (to see how he gets along with the cats), Elyse is very interested in making it official should all go well!

Said Elyse the night before she took home her little bundle of joy, “I’m adopting a baby from China! Only my baby is white, fluffy and from NY.”

Harry will live in a big home in CT with a large backyard, a pool, two cats to keep him company, and tons of attention.

He already has a pink doggie travel bag for his train rides to the city. After all, real pups wear pink!
