Adopt Suka the Stunning Husky

5/8/13 Update: Suka is now in foster care in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She will get daily runs with her new foster mom, and has a big apartment to stretch out in. So far, so good! Still looking for an adopter!

Suka lives in Brooklyn, and needs a new home. She has been loved and cared for since her rescue seven years ago. She loves to go on long walks or runs, and needs a home without small children. Smart, snuggly, and incredibly fluffy!

The Dog Matchmaker: About Me!

Having been involved with animal care my entire life, I have come to learn that adopting a “rescue” dog is the best way to find the perfect companion for you and your family! My services provide you with guidance for finding the best possible rescue dog for your home. Whether it’s a puppy or an older dog, a mixed-breed or a purebred dog, rescued dogs make the best pets!

I have worked as a veterinarian’s assistant, boarding kennel associate, shelter volunteer and as a shelter-dog foster parent. I created the highly trafficked dog advocacy website called Foster Dogs in NYC (averaging 500 visits per day), updated daily with dogs from the NY-area. I designed the English brochure for the largest animal shelter in Israel (JSCPA), I advocated for and volunteered at the American Cancer Society’s Dogs Walk For Life in NYC and volunteered with my certified Therapy Dog at nursing homes and cancer hospitals. I chaired the local animal shelter’s Lobby Renovation Project, raising money and recruiting volunteers to complete the task. As a Master’s candidate in Elementary Education, I have much experience working with children and adults, and can help those who are learning to live with their new dog.

My goal is to find you a wonderful rescued dog that makes the perfect addition to your family (or, as close to perfect as possible)! Adopting a dog is one of the most fulfilling decisions you can make and knowing you saved that dog’s life only enhances the process.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Sarah
